About

Why VideoGig?

Most people I work with have never been in front of a professional camera before. That's completely normal — and it's exactly why how you feel on shoot day matters as much as the footage we capture.

Whether you're worried about what to say, how you'll come across, or whether you'll freeze the moment the lens turns your way — I've heard it all, and I've helped business owners just like you come out the other side with video content they're genuinely proud of.

My job starts long before I press record. I take the time to understand not just your business and your message, but what's making you anxious about the process. By the time we're shooting, most clients tell me they actually enjoyed it.

Working With VideoGig

If the thought of being on camera makes your stomach flip, you're in good company. Almost every client I work with walks into a shoot with nerves. The difference is what we do about them — and that starts well before shoot day.

Together we'll work through every detail in advance: what you'll say, how the day will run, what to expect. By the time we're rolling, it feels far less like a performance and much more like a conversation.

1

Step 1: Planning

We discuss your project to understand your business, audience, message, and budget. We establish clear objectives and develop the concept, scripting, logistics, storyboards, shot lists, and talent and location requirements. We also talk through any concerns about being on camera and agree practical ways to make the shoot day feel relaxed and natural.

2

Step 2: Video Production

We capture footage in line with the agreed plans, ensuring every shot serves your story and objectives.

3

Step 3: Editing

Your footage is backed up, the best takes are selected, and the edit begins — transitions, music, sound effects, audio mixing, colour correction, graphics, text overlays, and subtitles all crafted to deliver a polished final video.

4

Step 4: Review & Feedback

A first version is delivered for your review. You have the opportunity to give feedback, with amends made per our agreed terms. Communication, collaboration, and flexibility are central throughout.

Kate Houldsworth
“Working with Cate to produce a series of videos for my business was a fantastic experience from start to finish. She took the time to understand my objectives beforehand, had great ideas about the practical and creative aspects of the shoot and worked extremely hard to produce the perfect footage. She is patient, positive and highly professional, with enormous technical expertise. I thoroughly recommend Cate and VideoGig, and look forward to working with her again in the future.”
